Privacy policy

Sanford Labs LLC runs JamJamz. Your song files never leave your computer. We collect events about your practice, such as the notes you played and pass results, plus the email you give us for the waitlist. We use them to run and improve JamJamz. We do not sell personal data.

Updated

Who we are

JamJamz is operated by Sanford Labs LLC, a single-member Michigan limited liability company. "We" and "us" on this page mean Sanford Labs LLC.

What stays on your computer

Your song files, including audio, charts and song.ini, are read in place by your browser. They are never copied, changed or sent to us. Your practice progress, kit map and latency calibration are stored in your browser.

What we collect

How we use it

To run JamJamz, review how practice is going, fix problems, and improve the feedback and coaching. When the AI coach ships, it will read a summary of your practice statistics, never your raw hits or your songs.

Who processes it

These service providers process data for us. Each receives only what it needs.

How long we keep it

Practice events are kept while the service runs. Server logs are kept for 90 days. Waitlist details are kept until you ask us to remove them or until early access opens and you decide whether to sign up.

Your choices

You can clear the data stored in your browser at any time from your browser's settings. Email michael@sanfordlabs.io to see, export or delete what we hold about you.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the kit you said you play (if you told us), the page you signed up from, how you found us (the first page you visited, the site that linked you here, and any campaign tags in the link), the time, and the consent wording you agreed to. Sanford Labs LLC runs the waitlist service for all of its products. We use your email only to tell you about JamJamz early access, and we remove it when you ask.

Analytics

This site uses PostHog to understand how visitors use it, such as which pages they view and which waitlist buttons they click. It runs in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and it counts visitors with a hash that changes daily and cannot be traced back to you. Events go through this site's own domain before reaching PostHog. We do not use Google Analytics.

Changes and contact

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. Questions go to michael@sanfordlabs.io.
